Terms of Service

Last updated 28 June 2026 · The agreement for using Hibr

These terms are the agreement between you and Hibr for using the app and your account. We’ve kept them as plain as we can. By creating an account or using Hibr, you agree to them.

The short version

  • Your notes are yours. We only process them to run the service.
  • Use Hibr lawfully. Tell the people in your meetings you’re taking notes, and get their consent where the law requires it.
  • Billing is simple. A free trial, then a monthly subscription you can cancel anytime. Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy.
  • AI notes can be wrong. Check anything important — they’re an aid, not a system of record.

1. Who we are

Hibr (“Hibr”, “we”, “us”) provides a meeting note-taking application for Arabic and English. Hibr is operated by its founder. You can reach us at contact@hibr.tech.

2. The service

Hibr runs on your computer, listens to your meeting from your own device’s audio, transcribes it live, and turns the transcript plus what you type into structured notes. It does not join your call as a participant. Hibr is available for macOS today, with Windows coming soon. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

3. Your account

You need an account to use Hibr. You’re responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at contact@hibr.tech if you believe your account has been compromised. You must be old enough to enter a binding contract in your country, and Hibr is intended for use by adults in a workplace setting.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use Hibr to break the law, or to record or transcribe anyone unlawfully;
  • record a meeting without informing participants and obtaining their consent where the law requires it — that responsibility is yours;
  • resell, sublicense, or redistribute the service, or attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or circumvent its security or usage limits;
  • interfere with or overload the service, or use it to build a competing product through automated extraction.

5. Your content

Your notes, transcripts, and the summaries Hibr generates for you are yours. You grant us a limited licence to host and process that content only as needed to provide the service to you (for example, to transcribe, generate notes, sync, and back up). How we handle it is described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your content and we do not use it to train third-party models.

6. Plans, billing & payments

  • Free trial. Hibr starts with a 14-day free trial, no credit card required. The clock starts at your first recorded meeting.
  • Beta. During the current beta period Hibr is free for everyone, with no card needed.
  • Subscription. After the trial, Hibr Pro is a monthly subscription at the price shown on our pricing page (currently $15 / month, tax included). It renews automatically each month until you cancel.
  • Payments. Payments are processed by our Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy, who is the seller of record for your purchase and handles billing and applicable taxes (including VAT).
  • Cancellation & refunds. You can cancel anytime; see our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

7. Third-party services

Hibr relies on a small number of trusted providers — including Speechmatics (speech-to-text), Anthropic (note generation), Supabase (account and hosting), and Lemon Squeezy (payments) — that process data on our behalf to deliver the service. What each one processes is listed in our Privacy Policy.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep Hibr available and reliable, but the service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may update, suspend, or discontinue features, and we’ll give reasonable notice of material changes where we can.

9. AI output and disclaimers

Hibr’s transcripts and notes are generated automatically and may be incomplete or inaccurate. They are an aid to your own judgement, not a verbatim legal record, and they are not legal, financial, medical, or professional advice. Please verify anything important before relying on it.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hibr is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or business arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11. Termination

You can stop using Hibr and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or use the service in a way that risks harm to others or to the service. On termination, the sections that by their nature should survive (such as content ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) continue to apply.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of its competent courts, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.

13. Changes to these terms

If we make material changes, we’ll update this page and revise the “last updated” date above, and where appropriate we’ll notify you. Continuing to use Hibr after a change means you accept the updated terms.
